Learn to Grow is all about getting students off their devices and into the dirt of the garden. The goal is to create a hands-on, experiential environment where students become apprentices, learning directly from skilled gardeners. Initially, these mentors may be community volunteers, but over time, experienced students step into the role of mentor themselves-guiding their peers through the growing process with confidence and care.
Rooted in the belief that students learn best by doing, Learn to Grow draws on experiential learning theory (Kolb, 2014). This approach encourages students to dig in the dirt of the garden by planting seeds, observing changes, and reflecting on what they see and do in their journal. Come and join me in the garden-where growth happens from the ground up.
